Roger Zuidema, President

Roger Zuidema, WMO President, and has taken a leading role in visioning some of WMO's biggest events, including the boat show and MPW.  Boating pursuits include President of Lake Effect Boating/Media. Roger, a Calvin College alumni, has majors in business, recreation and P.E.  Zuidema’s background includes 30 years of education, coaching, and sports management experiences, and currently teaches and coaches at Hudsonville Public Schools.  



Chris Dekker, Immediate Past President

Chris Dekker has served as the President of WMO since its inception in 2015. He takes the leading role in planning and overseeing club operations and events, and maintains the website and club email schedule. Professionally, Chris serves as Owner & President of Dekker Web Solutions, and is an alumni of Hope College, Central Michigan University, and the University of Notre Dame. Chris owns a 47' Fountain Lightning with triple 525EFI motors.

Corey Hoff, Vice President & Membership

Corey Hoff, Vice President and Membership Chair of WMO, joined WMO Winter 2017.  Corey assists in maintaining membership status, assist in planning events, and coordinating behind the scenes to make WMO a successful and fun organization.  Professionally, Corey is Business Development Leader at a large West MI Automotive Supplier, and holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from GVSU.  Corey owns a 30’ PowerQuest Revenge and enjoys boating with his family in and out of Grand Haven – Spring Lake Area.

Curt DeKam, Chief Financial Officer 

Curt has taken on the role of Chief Financial Officer in the fall of 2017.  In that role he will oversee and report to the board the income and expenditures of the club.  He will also assist in event planning and coordination along with other administrative duties.  Curt is president of a local concrete pumping company where they specialize in concrete placing for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects. Curt and his family anticipate spending time on the water in their “next” boat in the summer of 2018.

Scott Otterbein, Marketing Manager

Scott Otterbein has served as marketing manager of WMO since fall of 2017. Scott is a Baker College Graduate with a degree in Business. Professionally, Scott is the Vice President of a local auto collision repair business. Scott and his wife Angie have one son and enjoy there time on the water on a 29' Powerquest.

Cheryl Houda Business Manager

After achieving her Bachelors in Economics from GVSU, Cheryl embarked on a career in the manufacturing sector, focusing on finance and operations. As a Financial Analyst with Cascade Engineering, Cheryl leads efforts in process improvements, streamlining operation systems and working with business teams to build an open and profitable work environment.
 Her hobbies include passions for fast boats and cars, her family and friends and her drive to give back to the West Michigan community.  Cheryl joined WMO in 2017 after her and Sanders (husband) purchase a 42’ Fountain. The Business Manager handles the contractual aspects of WMO.  Duties include overseeing safety, maintaining the membership and sponsor spreadsheet keeping, business matter documents (event contracts, insurance, etc), taking minutes and helping with event management and creation.
