Driven forward by our passion, fueled by giving back.

West Michigan Offshore

Founded in 2015, the West Michigan Offshore (WMO) powerboat club is for any boat enthusiast; whether you own them, chase them, or simply appreciate the engineering and power behind them. Our slogan, in many ways, explains why this club was given life, “Driven forward by our passion, fueled by giving back.” We’ve taken something that we are passionate about and molded it into a group that is a 501c(7) nonprofit organization and will be able to give back to the community. Many members love the boating life style, and simply like the offshore world. WMO seeks to bring West Michigan's countless go-fast enthusiasts together both on and off the water, with 12 ports of call, the Gold Coast of West Michigan is a great place to boat.

WMO hosts many events throughout the entire calendar year, which includes the Muskegon Powerboat Weekend and auction, Rock The Coast Weekend featuring professional photographers in a helicopter, WMO Gold Coast Summer Blast, and much more. WMO's events are highly-organized, first-class and are inclusive to all boaters.

Membership, while required for participation in all club events, is affordable for all boaters.

Incorporated as a 501c(7) non-profit organization, our primary goal is to give as much as possible to charity, while providing members with connections in the industry; organizing, facilitating, and supporting powerboat related events, as well as providing the tools to best promote powerboating in our area. The WMO board is held completely by volunteers, donating their time and resources to further powerboating in West Michigan. There are no paid positions; only the necessary infrastructure intended to protect members and board members of WMO alike. We're just as dedicated to improving the community as we are to powerboating, and take pride in our positive presence in West Michigan.
