Let's Play the River! Below you will find information to make your weekend successful. This year welcomes the second annual Play the River Weekend in East Jordan MI. Run on Friday and the Play the River Poker Run on Saturday. Membership Required.
Friday, AUGUST-7TH-
Get ready for an unforgettable day on the water!
Boats will gather and head out for an action-packed Fun Run, cruising together in true WMO style. Our exact destination may shift based on weather to ensure the best ride possible — but count on a planned lunch stop at The Landing that brings everyone together dockside for great food and even better company.
All members will receive a detailed information packet in advance so you know exactly where to be and when — smooth, organized, and ready to roll.
After the run, the excitement continues back at East Jordan Marina as we dock and raft off for an evening of energy and atmosphere. From 6–9 PM, spectators are invited to stroll the docks, get an up-close look at the boats, and enjoy live music along the waterfront. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with WMO members and the incredible East Jordan community that has welcomed us with open arms.
And just when you think it can’t get better — a helicopter will fly over the marina and follow the fleet out into Lake Charlevoix, capturing the power and pageantry from above. It’s a moment you won’t want to miss.
As the boats return to EJ Marina, members and sponsors will gather at the marina and throughout the downtown area to keep the momentum going.
Friday Night Life will be in full swing — live music in the park, beautiful boats lining the docks, and a vibrant waterfront atmosphere that blends performance, community, and summer celebration.

Helicopter Flies Over Marina & Follows Boats Out into Lake Michigan and follow the planned route.
The Chase Is On - Boats Head Out and return for a raft off in the afternoon.
